THE SOURDOUGH BREAD WITCH

Hiya! I'm Avalon, AKA The Sourdough Bread Witch!

I'm 27 and a self taught home baker. I moved from my little town in Yorkshire, England to Brentwood, California in 2022, where I became a mum, an artist and a direct support professional.

But no matter the distance I traveled, anyone who knew me would tell you I always dreamed about being a baker. The first cake I ever made in my childhood home, I remember being a complete disaster. I walked a few miles with my younger brother to the shop to get the ingredients and made a massive mess of my mothers kitchen... (sorry mum x)

And I'm still making a mess in the kitchen! But now the outcome isn't disastrous... it's absolutely delicious :)

I've never had any culinary training and I am completely self taught, but I have always strived to create delicious treats varying from cakes, pastries and now mostly sourdough bread. And with the start of my own business I can only hope to share my goods within my community.
